In VSG 2nd league game, they had a cold 1st half, and were down by 2 at half time to Iowa City thunder 4th. in the 2nd half Sasha got hot, as did Rose as they pulled away by 8pts to win. Great Job, Sam, Sasha, janey, kacie, rose, Emma, ally, Ella,. VSG is now 2-0

In dramatic fashion the Venom sports Girls 7/8th team wins their first game by beating Marion 8th.  With only 3 eighth graders Kendal, Cammy  and Doninique.  Venom had to relay on 7th graders Kenya,Vanessa, Bri,and 6th grader Rachael and 5th grader Dani to help Venom win its first game of the fall.– Great job girls

In VSG-O’s 4th game, they only had 5 players as they beat Jr. Warriors 7th by 20-30pts with only 5 players .  kenya 7th, Cammy 8th, Rachael 6th, dani 5th and amber7th, Most of the game Venom had to fall back to not press in the 20pt press rule. great job again girls.

in VSG-O’s last game of the league, they got pummeled by the best team in the league the j-hawks by 55-25.  however VSG’s bright spot was that we finally had a full roster of girls, kenya, Cammy, Kennedy, Dominque, victoria, Bri, amber, Rachael, Justine, and jordie,, we look forward to VSG-O meshing together in the 2nd league session. In typical hot summer fashion ,the Venom Sports Girls did not stay inside and suck up the air all weekend as they braved un conditioned gyms of the tourney and fought hard to lose in the 3rd place game by only 4 points.  Playing in a 6th grade tourney with only 3 sixth graders kenya , Gabbi and Amber, an fifth graders Sherry, Emma, and 4th graders Skyler and Dani.  Great job girls to compete in 5 games over the weekend.  Maybe it was too much fun time as Coach Earl got the girls a suite the night before as Coach Earl’s wife had to watch over 10 people in the room total,WOW . Coach Earl was glad he missed that night!
