Acie Earl Basketball Camp (A & B)

Time: 8-10am Ages: 7-14 years old Location:-Davenport West YMCA

Instructor: Coach Acie Earl

** Please bring a water bottle. sports sneakers/gym shoes are required**

Camp A: 6/11-6/14

Time: 12-2 pm until 4pm on 6/14 Ages: 7-14 years old Location: West YMCA

Camp B: 7/16—7/20

Time: 12-2 pm Ages: 7-14 years old Location: West YMCA

*Acie Earl is a previous Iowa Hawkeye and NBA Basketball Player* Semi Pro coach and AAU/Travel Team Coach and Trainer since 2004.

Have your child Learn the basic fundamentals of basketball such as passing, shooting form, rebounding, ball handling, defensive stance, dribbling.  The last day the camp will have free throw shooting,hot shot, 1 on 1 ,5 on 5 , knock out competitions for prizes.  Coach Earl’s instructional DVD’s will be on sale along with his Iowa Hawkeye and NBA, Celtic,Raptors,and Buck merchandise will be available for cheap prices.

Venom Sports Boys 16u win 2nd place at Rockford Ambassordors tourney

The Venom sports Boys 16 u team had a great tourney as they win 2nd place in Rockford <illinios.  Congrats JJ,Jamarty, Lt, harley, Alex ,gonzo and Nick.

The Venom sports Boys 16 u team had a great tourney as they win 2nd place in Rockford <illinios.  Congrats JJ,Jamarty, Lt, harley, Alex ,gonzo and Nick. 

Venom Sports Girls win 2nd place at Rockford 7/8th div

In typical Venom fashion ,the Venom girls with only 5 players win 2nd place in a 7/8th divsion with no 8th graders.  Kenya 7th, jordan 7th, Justine 7th,and Rachael 6th and Rose 4th.  Played all day 3 games and the championship game back to back.  Kenya and rachael both missed short shots inside to tie the game with 8 seconds and 2 seconds as time expired.  With 6minutes to go Venom was down 6 and battled back to pull within 1 as Kenya was fouled on a 3pt shot and hit 2 out of 3 free throws to pull within 1 point.  Venom had to foul and the other team made 1 out of 4 free throws to get a 2point lead.  then Venom came down and kenya and Rachael couldnt make the last 2 shots.  it was a great game and great day.  Matter of fact Venom played the 2nd game 1st half without committing 1 single team foul,a Venom record. 

Venom Sports Girls 7/8th win 2nd place at Impact Summer Tip Off

As they keep playing and improving going in to the summer/spring season.  VSG 7/8th wins 2nd place by going 3-1.  congrats Justine 7th ,Jordan 7th, kenya 7th, rose 4th, rachael 6th, Dominque 8th, Victoria 8th, Kendal 8th, Bri 7th.
